Love him or hate him, Chad Ochocinco stands alone as the most influential sports personality in the social media universe, according to a recent rating system by Klout.com.

The system objectively ranks athletes on a 1-100 scale by analyzing how many people listen to or engage in conversation online with them through Twitter or Facebook.

CNBC's sports business reporter Darren Rovell compiled a list ranking the athlete's influence on twitter using this data.

Ochocinco sends tweets about every five minutes, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he tops the list. The Bengals' wideout even has Motorola sponsor his twitter page, which has just under 2 million followers.

Simply put, when Ochocinco tweets, the world listens.
