Michael Vick doesn't seem to be too worried about the "Madden Curse" this time around.

The last time Vick was on the cover of Madden, he broke his leg before the season, a strange trend among Madden cover athletes.

In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, though, Vick admits to have played Madden since 1992 and would thoroughly enjoy gracing the cover for a second time, a feat that no NFL player has accomplished previously.

In order to do that, he'll need to beat out Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis, who defeated Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers in the previous round of voting.

Vick is excited about the opportunity, especially given his troubling past. When asked how he handles his image now compared to a few years ago, Vick said that "I have a lot of people I don't want to let down, and that's my motivation."

While the winner won't be announced until Wednesday, CNBC's Darren Rovell tweeted on Sunday that if the tournament had ended on Sunday, Hillis would be gracing the cover.
