University of Miami officials may have made the trip to Cambridge to woo Harvard head basketball coach, Tommy Amaker, but the former Duke star will be staying with the Crimson.

The Hurricanes have been looking for a replacement for former head coach Frank Haith, who recently departed to take the same position at University of Missouri.

"I am appreciative of and flattered by the interest shown in me by other fine universities, but I am proud and honored to represent Harvard," Amaker said in a statement released by the school, according to ESPN. "I look forward to continuing my efforts to teach, lead and serve at this great institution."

Amaker led Harvard to their first Ivy League championship this past season, though they lost to Princeton in a one-game playoff to decide the conference's NCAA tournament berth.
