Top 10 Moments in Fenway Park History Include Carlton Fisk, Dave Roberts, Ted Williams The Red Sox announced plans this week to begin preparations for Fenway Park’s 100th birthday. As part of the process, they are asking fans to submit their memories and favorite stories from the venerable park at www.fenwaypark100.com.

The submissions are sure to run the gamut, but there are iconic images and moments from the first 99 years that each and every one of us can recall. Narrowing them down to just 10 is not an easy task, for many need to be left out, but that’s how daring we are. 

With apologies to a few honorable mentions (Ted Williams‘ memorial service, Mariano Rivera‘s standing ovation on Opening Day 2005, Babe Ruth‘s return in April 1920), here are the top 10 moments in the history of Fenway Park. Simple as that:
