Yankees Outfielder Andruw Jones Showered With Onion Rings During Yankees-Twins Game It was cloudy with a chance of onion rings for Yankees outfielder Andruw Jones on Tuesday night.

Jones was hit with a fried surprise when he went to catch a foul ball off the bat of Minnesota’s Jason Kubel and was showered in onion rings, according to Yahoo! Sports.

The video of the play shows that one crafty Yankees fan attempted to catch the ball in his basket of onion rings — because who needs a glove?

Unfortunately, the fan not only lost his snack, he also missed the ball.

Late Show writer Eric Stangel jokingly tweeted after the game that game-used onion rings would go on sale for $299.
