Daniel Bard's Trio of Shutout Appearances Earns Him Amica Pitcher of the Week Honors May has been a kind month to Daniel Bard thus far.

The right hander faced the Angels three times this week, shutting the Halos out each time on the hill.

On Wednesday, Bard even went two full innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four Angels.

In fact, that was the only hit he surrendered all week, as the Angels failed to get a baserunner — over even flyball — in Bard's other two outings.

After beginning the month with an ERA of 3.65, Bard's three May appearances have knocked his mark down to 2.87.

Add it all up, and Bard is surely deserving of this week's Amica Pitcher of the Week honors.
