Darnell Dockett, Steve Nash Among Athletes on Twitter Reacting to Osama Bin Laden's Death Just about nobody found out from reading the paper.

A good number of people found out on television, or from a phone call.

Most, however, likely found out that Osama bin Laden had died from an email, a moment surfing the web, or from a status update on Facebook or Twitter.

A social media firestorm broke out upon news of the death of the world’s top terrorist, and many athletes were in on the action.

Some were patriotic and elated. Some were thankful and reflective. Some were worried, or didn’t quite believe it. Others were downright hilarious.

Many of the world’s quieter athletes took the opportunity to speak their minds. They were, of course, joined by Twitter’s athlete all-star team: Darnell Dockett, Roddy White, Ozzie Guillen and Rio Ferdinand.
