David Ortiz Back in Starting Lineup for Game 2 After Hitting Game-Winning Home Run in First Half of Doubleheader Just hours after his tie-breaking, pinch-hit home run in the ninth inning of the first game of a doubleheader, David Ortiz is back in the starting lineup for the nightcap against Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander.

Ortiz came off the bench to hit for catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia and slugged a solo shot to lead the Red Sox to a 4-3 win Sunday afternoon. He is 5-for-15 with two homers against Verlander, including one when they met in Fenway Park less than two weeks ago.

J.D. Drew is back in the lineup after missing four games due to a sore right hamstring. He also homered off Verlander in that matchup in Boston. Drew will start in the No. 8 spot in the lineup for the first time this year. His usual sixth spot is taken up again by Carl Crawford, who has had loads of success there in recent days.

Drew Sutton hits between those two and plays shortstop, giving Jed Lowrie the night off to start. Jason Varitek draws the catching assignment with Josh Beckett on the mound.

The lineup card for the nightcap looks like this:

Red Sox
Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
Dustin Pedroia, 2B
Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
Kevin Youkilis 3B
David Ortiz, DH
Carl Crawford, LF
Drew Sutton, SS

Tigers
Austin Jackson, CF
Andy Dirks, LF
Brennan Boesch, RF
Miguel Cabrera, 1B
Victor Martinez, DH
