High School Lacrosse Player Scores Amazing ‘Hail Mary’ Goal in Championship Game (Video)

In football, a Hail Mary is a play designed for a team that’s desperate, with its back up against the wall and needing a miracle to win the game.

Maybe this lacrosse goal came in a different circumstance, but the Hail Mary is the closest comparison we have.

The goal comes from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. As reported by The Washington Post, the team led the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship game with 10 seconds left to play when Matt Borda launched a pass from behind his own net.
