The Bruins are in the Stanley Cup Final, and while NESN may no longer be carrying B's games, that doesn't mean that Jack Edwards isn't making his presence felt.

In a recent appearance on WEEI, the NESN play-by-play announcer launched an unforgettable soliloquy about what the Bruins have a chance to do in their run toward the Cup. Naturally, it infused local and American history, Bruins history and hope for the future, as Edwards talked about Boston's pursuit of "hockey's sacred bowl."

"This is not life and death, nor war and peace, but pursuit of the Stanley Cup raises our hopes — and our heart rates — and our joy of living," he said. "Beyond what the silversmith hammers into hardware, the deeds belonging to those names will have been etched upon our hearts forever."
