There will be a familiar voice returning to your nightly routine, as Jerry Remy will be back in the NESN booth for Monday night's game between the Red Sox and Orioles.
The RemDawg has been absent for close to three weeks due to a case of pneumonia, but he's back just in time as the 20-20 Sox shoot to surpass the .500 mark for the first time this season. He'll be joined, as always, by play-by-play man Don Orsillo.
Boston is coming off a three-game sweep of the Yankees in New York. The three straight wins have put them at the .500 mark for the first time all season.
Remy debuted as NESN's Red Sox color commentator in 1988 and currently serves as Red Sox Nation's first president. Prior to joining NESN, Remy enjoyed a successful 10-year career as a major league second baseman, playing seven seasons for the Red Sox before retiring in 1985. He was elected to the American League All-Star team in 1978 and led the American League in at-bats per strikeout in 1983. Remy was inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2006.
