Kevin Youkilis Serving As Designated Hitter With Marco Scutaro, Jed Lowrie Both in Lineup Against Twins Kevin Youkilis will serve as the designated hitter and Marco Scutaro is starting at shortstop as the Red Sox host the Minnesota Twins on Saturday afternoon.

Youkilis, who enters hitting .237, will be the DH for the third time this year, giving David Ortiz a rest against left-hander Brian Duensing.

The shift allows Jed Lowrie to move to third base and for Scutaro to get a rare start. It is just the fifth start since April 24 for the veteran shortstop.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who has a hit in his one plate appearance vs. Duensing, gets a start in a day game after playing the entirety of the loss Friday night. Carl Crawford, hitting .391 (9-for-23) in May, is batting eighth.

With Clay Buchholz on the mound, here is the Red Sox lineup against Duensing:

Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
Dustin Pedroia, 2B
Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
Kevin Youkilis, DH
Jed Lowrie, 3B
Mike Cameron, RF
Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
Carl Crawford, LF
Marco Scutaro, SS
