Peter Gammons Says Red Sox Lineup Will Need to Carry Team With Injuries to Rotation

After the Red Sox struggled to begin the season, it was the starting pitching that seemed to right the ship. While the Red Sox lineup has steadily improved, it could face an even heavier burden with the starting rotation banged up a bit.

John Lackey was placed on the 15-day disabled list prior to Monday's game against the Orioles, and Daisuke Matsuzaka could be headed to the DL next.

With these latest developments, NESN's Peter Gammons said it will  be even more important for the offense to produce the big numbers that were expected of it prior to the start of the season.
