About a year ago, Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis was anything but a household name.

A few months from now, his portrait will be in millions of homes across the country.

EA SPORTS unveiled the Madden 12 cover Tuesday, and it features Hillis, who was the surprising winner of a bracket-style fan vote in April. The game will be released Aug. 30, which is later than normal due to the lockout. The Madden franchise hoped the delay would allow for enough time to orchestrate appropriate rosters after an abbreviated version of free agency and player movement.

Madden 12 will also have a limited edition Hall of Fame cover that features former St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk, who was the video game's first cover athlete to get enshrined in Canton.
