Ray Allen 'Still a Little Tight' After Taking LeBron James' Elbow to the Chest in Game 2 The Celtics are trying to forget their Game 2 loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night, but Ray Allen still has a souvenir — a nasty bruise on his chest that's still bothering him two days later.

"You should've seen the other guy," Allen said.

He's kidding — the other guy is LeBron James, who delivered a hard elbow to Allen with 2:55 left in the third quarter, forcing him to leave the game and seek medical attention. He felt shortness of breath while sitting on the bench.

"They called a foul on me," Allen said. "They were in transition and they threw the ball inside, and I fouled LeBron. His elbow came right into my chest and I got this bruise right here."

Allen said he had trouble working out Wednesday after the team flight arrived back in Boston. He's optimistic, however, since the injury has gotten better over the last 48 hours.

"It's still a little tight," Allen said. "But it's gotten a lot better the last two days."

He acknowledges that he won't be 100 percent by Game 3 on Saturday night, but he's ready to embrace the challenge of playing anyway. His minutes won't be limited, and of course his shooting won't be affected in the least.

"Nothing affects my shooting," he said.
