Boston is a unique city for infinite reasons. There's the wild street system that makes no sense, the confusing highway system that makes even less sense, the obsessions with Dunkin Donuts and sports, the accents and so on and so forth.

There's also Rene Rancourt.

He's a man with an average singing voice and an above-average spirit, which is why he's an absolute legend in the city of Boston. He's sung the national anthem before Boston Bruins games since 1976, but he's yet to see a Stanley Cup in that time. So you can bet he's excited for Game 7 on Friday night.

"They've been close a lot in past years, but I am cautiously optimistic," he told the Boston Herald.

Known for his fist pumps and colorful tuxedos, Rancourt, at 71 years young, still gets a rush performing in front of the Garden crowd.

"Bruins fans, now that's a real shot of adrenaline," he told the Herald. "After I sing, I run off the ice and I am really pumped up. It takes me hours to get down from that high, especially during the playoffs."

Don't believe him? Check him out in the video below, from the Herald. As a forewarning, it might be the greatest video you ever watch.
