For much of the 2010-11 season, Lille playmaker Eden Hazard was touted as the hottest transfer commodity in Europe, and the expectation was that he would be on the move to one of the world's largest clubs — potentially Liverpool, Tottenham or Arsenal.

Then, Hazard had such a successful season that he could no longer justify such a switch. The 20-year-old Belgium internation not only led Lille to their first Ligue A title in half a century, but he was also named the league's player of the year.

Now, with Champions League football impending and a contract lasting until 2015, Hazard has decided to stay with the club.

""Eden has chosen to stay. He has a contract until 2015 and now Champions League football. Everything points towards staying," said a club source, according to TalkSPORT.

Hazard had seven goals and nine assists this season. He is valued at £16 million according to TransferMarkt, but his quoted value in transfer rumors has been far higher.
