Terry Francona Pleased With Red Sox’ Adjustments on Sunday, Last Few Weeks

Daisuke Matsuzaka gave up three runs in the first inning on Sunday, but he was able to settle down nicely, only allowing one run over the next five innings.

The Red Sox offense responded as well, scoring their first run in the second inning and exploding for four runs in the third inning.

Manager Terry Francona was impressed with Matsuzaka's ability to make adjustments after his tough first inning, as well as the improvements that the offense made its second and third time through the order.

To hear what else Francona had to say about the Red Sox' 9-5 win on Sunday, as well as what he's seen from Adrian Gonzalez and Jacoby Ellsbury during their recent surges, check out the video above.
