Vote: How Many Games Will Bruins-Canucks Stanley Cup Final Series Go? And then there were two. The Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks have battled all season, and now they are the only two teams remaining in the NHL playoffs. The two teams will do battle in the Stanley Cup Final beginning on Wednesday.

Both teams are seeking to end long championship droughts. The Bruins haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1972, while the Canucks have yet to win one in their 40-year history.

The matchup should be interesting, with one of the league's most potent offenses going up against perhaps the best defensive team in the NHL.

The Vancouver Canucks won the President's Trophy this season, awarded to the team with the most points (best record) during the regular season. While they struggled against the eighth-seeded Chicago Blackhawks in the first round, nearly blowing a 3-0 series lead, they bounced back and performed well enough to win Game 7 in overtime.

The Canucks then took down the Predators in six games and the Sharks in five games to punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final.

The Sedin twins have led Vancouver to its success all season. Daniel Sedin led the NHL in scoring during the regular season, compiling 104 points. Henrik Sedin, who finished fifth in scoring during the regular season, leads the NHL in playoff points with 21.

The Canucks also feature Ryan Kesler, one of the game's best two-way forwards, and Roberto Luongo, one of the game's elite goaltenders.

The Bruins, of course, have an elite goaltender of their own in Tim Thomas. The veteran netminder has been the catalyst behind the Bruins' playoff success.

But defensemen Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg have made things difficult for opposing teams as well, while Nathan Horton, David Krejci and a number of other Bruins forwards have been opportunistic all postseason.

The Bruins have showed that they truly are a resilient team, bouncing back from tough losses and subpar performances, and winning enough games to earn a chance to play for Lord Stanley.

The Bruins defeated the Montreal Canadiens in seven games in the first round, swept the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round and took down the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference final.

The Stanley Cup Final should be their most difficult series yet. How many games will the series go?
