Adrian Peterson Missing Own Football Camp to Appear on NFL Network’s Top 100 Program

Imagine being an 8-year-old kid whose favorite player is Adrian Peterson. You sign up for Adrian Peterson Football Camp with the hopes of meeting your idol while playing football all week. Well, hopefully the camp offers a refund.

Instead of making an appearance at his camp, Peterson will instead appear on the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2011 program, according to Yahoo Sports. The camp released a statement apologizing for Peterson's anticipated absence.

If the NFL or Peterson can't work something out, campers will have to settle for Mark Clayton, DeMarco Murray and Jason White — not exactly the same draw as one of the most dominant running backs in the league.
