There are very few cities in the NFL in which Jets linebacker Bart Scott is liked, and there are very few fan bases that dislike him more than the Patriots' following. However, even Patriots fans should be able to admit Scott's latest actions are actually pretty cool.
NFL.com reports that Scott is donating proceeds from his clothing line to help raise money for Rutgers linebacker Eric LeGrand.
LeGrand was paralyzed during an Oct. 16, 2010 game against Army, when he was injured on a kickoff.
Scott's new clothing line is appropriately named "Can't Wait," named after his now famous postgame interview with Sal Paolantonio following the Jets' divisional round win over the Patriots.
The line is set to come out soon, and Scott says that the original proceeds will be donated to the "LeGrand Believe Fund," as LeGrand, who is in currently in a wheelchair, continues to try and walk again.
"I've never met him but I heard he's a great kid," Scott told NFL.com. "He has a lot of concerns and needs right now, but I know someday he will walk, and that's something I can't wait for."
LeGrand has been doing rehab at the same facility in New Jersey that Scott and some of his Jets teammates have been working out at while the NFL lockout continues.
"I want to be able to see him lead his team on the field someday," Scott said. "That's something I'm looking forward to and I just hope to help him get there."
