Bruins Fans Deck Out Boston Statues in Black and Gold to Show Support for Stanley Cup Contenders (Photos) Hockey was never appreciated by some of the more influential figures in the United States, considering the sport was introduced nearly 100 years after the drafting of the Constitution. That still didn’t prevent Paul Revere from sporting his Bruins gear prior to the Bruins’ Stanley Cup Final opening showdown with the Vancouver Canucks.

The Revere statue was joined by the duck family statues in the Public Garden, as each duck had their own jersey. Clearly, the ducks are attempting to “make way for a Stanley Cup champion” while Paul Revere is eagerly awaiting riding his horse through Boston, shouting the anticipated arrival of the Bruins’ power play.
