The Bruins added some grit to to their future roster by selecting Anthony Camara with the No. 81 pick in round three of the NHL draft Saturday.

The left winger isn't noted for his offensive prowess. In two seasons with the Saginaw Sprint of the Ontario Hockey League, Camara tallied only 14 goals and 15 assists in 129 games. But the 6-foot, 194-pound bruiser filled up the PIMS category, totalling 228 penalty minutes in two seasons, including 132 in the 2010-11 season.

A native of Toronto, the 17-year-old Camara is an energy player the B's hope will develop into the mold of fan-favorite Shawn Thornton.

"Anthony plays a high-energy, two-way game," NHL Central Scouting Director Chris Edwards told NHL.com. "He is a hard-working, up-and-down guy who is a fierce competitor. He's not a guy who goes around looking for trouble, but he will scrap with anyone in the league. He's been very effective on Saginaw's penalty-kill unit and is a very good shot blocker."
