Bruins Respond in Big Way in Game 3, Bury Canucks in 8-1 Rout (Photos) After dropping two heartbreakers in Vancouver, the Bruins came into Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final in need of a spark. And boy, did they get one.

After scoring just twice in the first seven periods of the series, the Bruins torched Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo for four goals in the second period on Monday and four more in the third en route to an 8-1 blowout win at the TD Garden.

Aaron Rome's illegal hit on Bruins forward Nathan Horton early in the first period that resulted in a serious concussion for Horton and a game misconduct for Rome seemed to light a fire under the B's, and the home team came out of the first intermission swinging — both in the game and after the whistle.

Penalty minutes abounded as the bad blood between the two teams continued to grow, and the Bruins will look to continue their style of physical play when the series resumes Wednesday night.
