Buffalo Bills Unveil New Uniforms, Return to White Helmet The turn of the century was not kind to the Buffalo Bills or their fans.

Ever since the infamous Music City Miracle in the 2000 NFL Wild Card Playoffs, the Bills have failed to reach the playoffs, going a combined 70-106 with only one winning season, a 9-7 mark in 2004.

While the play on the field has not been pretty, neither has the look of the uniforms, according to fans. In 2009, the Bills were voted to have the worst road uniforms in the NFL in a poll conducted by Uni Watch, a blog that tracks sports uniforms.

The Bills have listened to their fans and responded, unveiling their new uniforms on Friday in a presentation at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

The new threads include blue home jerseys and white road jerseys, with the team logo on the back just above the name plate. The word “BILLS” is also on the front above each player’s number.

The biggest change is the helmet, which will return to being white, similar to the club’s original look. Since 1987, the team has had red helmets.

“We listened to our fans,” Bills CEO Russ Brandon said. “We have done a lot of research and this is a long process to go through. We just wanted to get back to our storied tradition while we still highlight our brand.”

It remains to be seen if the new unis will lead to more wins.
