Cam Neely, Ray Bourque Make 8-Year-Old's First Trip to Boston Garden an Unforgettable Experience Editor’s note: NESN.com is asking Bruins fans to share their favorite Bruins memory. Sgt. William R. Abderhalden III shared the following moment.

I remember my first Bruins game I went to. It was on Feb. 12, 1994 for my eighth birthday. The Bruins hosted the New Jersey Devils at the Boston Garden.

During the first intermission, I noticed a bunch of people getting pictures and autographs with a man in a suit and I got a little curious. It turns out it was Tom McVie, the assistant coach at the time. I took a picture with him and told him it was my first game and that I was there for my birthday. Tom took my game program and walked off, and I have to admit I was a little sad.

Well, about 15 minutes later, he returned with the program, which he signed as well as Brian Sutter, as well as an 8-by-10 team photo autographed by Cam Neely, Adam Oates, Bryan Smolinski, Ray Bourque, Don Sweeney and Jon Casey, as well as an 8-by-10 autographed photo of Ray Bourque. I was in absolute awe.

The Bruins ended up winning that game 5-3 and Cam Neely scored a hat trick in the first period in a total time of 4:02. I only wish everyone could have had that great of an experience on their first game. I was sad to see the Garden go.
