Bruins team president Cam Neely never won a Stanley Cup as a player, despite coming close a couple of times. When asked if winning this season as an executive would help fill the void, he said that it would be by far the next best thing.
Neely, who began his career with the Vancouver Canucks, said that a Stanley Cup win would also mean a lot for the city of Boston and that the city deserves a win — especially given the recent championship success of the city's other professional sports teams.
Neely also joked about how his family better be rooting for the Bruins in this series despite the family ties to Vancouver.
To hear what else Neely had to say prior to the Stanley Cup Final, as well as Gord Kluzak and Barry Pederson's take on Neely's impact with the Bruins, check out the video above.
