While the future of the NBA for the 2011-12 season is now uncertain thanks to the lockout becoming official on Thursday, Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley's future is much more certain.

Danny Ainge and the C's have decided to exercise a contract option on Bradley to secure him for the 2012-13 season.

The 6-foot-2 guard enjoyed modest success in limited time in his rookie season. He appeared in 31 games, averaging 5.2 minutes per game, as well as 1.7 points, 0.4 assists and 0.5 rebounds.

Bradley had one standout performance in particular against the New York Knicks on April 13. He scored 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting over the course of 27 minutes played.

Bradley was selected 19th overall from the University of Texas in the 2010 NBA draft.
