Jacoby Ellsbury needs your help.
The Red Sox center fielder is in a tight battle with Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton in the voting for the third starting outfield spot on the American League All-Star team.
Ellsbury, who enters Tuesday batting .303 with an AL-leading 25 stolen bases, has slowly narrowed the gap on the reigning AL Most Valuable Player throughout June.
Over the past two weeks, the margin separating the two has gone from 351,624 to 151,085 to 121,325, according to MLB.com.
Jose Bautista of Toronto and Curtis Granderson of New York are comfortably settled in as the other two starting outfielders. Bautista is the leading vote-getter among all AL players. Granderson is third, just behind teammate Robinson Cano, who is running away with the second-base vote.
Voting at ballparks is complete, but fans can help Ellsbury's cause by voting online through 11:59 p.m. this Thursday.
The rosters will be announced on TBS on Sunday at noon. After that, a fan vote for the final player on both teams will be conducted. Kevin Youkilis lost out to Yankees right fielder Nick Swisher in that process last year.
