Jon Lester Tips Hat to Brewers Starter Randy Wolf, Says He Was Outpitched on Saturday

Jon Lester failed in his first bid for win No. 10, mostly because of some early struggles. Lester still allowed only three earned runs through eight innings, though, but was outpitched by Brewers lefty Randy Wolf.

Lester gave up back-to-back home runs to Rickie Weeks and Corey Hart to begin the game, and later allowed another home run to former Red Sox catcher George Kottaras.

Other than that, though, Lester felt as though he made some good pitches. But he admitted that Wolf was the better pitcher on Saturday.

Wolf allowed two runs through seven innings before handing it over to the bullpen to close it out.
