Lamar Odom Being Shopped by Lakers, With Minnesota, Philadelphia, Golden State Being Potential Trading Partners Lamar Odom has spent 11 of his 12 NBA seasons in Los Angeles (four with the Clippers, seven with the Lakers). He re-signed with the Lakers in the summer of 2009, pledging his allegiance to the organization. He even adopted the L.A. lifestyle, marrying Khloe Kardashian and getting his own reality show to boot.

That lifestyle is very much hanging in the balance on the day of the NBA draft, as according to multiple reports, the Lakers are actively trying to trade the league’s Sixth Man of the Year.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Lakers tried to trade Odom to Minnesota for the No. 2 overall pick in Thursday’s draft. Talks, however, fizzled after Minnesota asked instead for Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum. That report also indicates that Bynum is untradeable, per Jim Buss‘ orders.

Sports Illustrated reported that a deal could happen between L.A. and Philadelphia, with Odom going east and Andre Igoudala heading to the Lakers.

“It’s unclear whether the deal has real potential or is still alive,” wrote Sam Amick, who added that Ron Artest could potentially be packaged with Odom.

Yet another report says the Lakers discussed a potential deal with the Golden State Warriors that would send Odom and Shannon Brown to Oakland and have Monta Ellis joining the Lakers. Those talks, however, “went nowhere,” according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

Whatever the case, the future of Odom’s NBA career and Khloe and Lamar (much more important, obviously) could be in for a major change in the next 12 hours.
