When goalkeepers speak, coaches listen. That’s at least the case for Liverpool goaltender Pepe Reina and Reds manager Kenny Dalglish.

Although Liverpool has been mulling Steward Downing and others to address the club’s wide-area problems, Reina suggested that his club go after Santi Cazorla of Villareal, according to Metro.

Cazorla recorded five goals and 10 assists for Villareal last season. Reina plays with Cazorla for the Spanish national team and believes the midfield player has what it takes to flourish in the English Premier League.

Financially, however, Cazorla could be a bit of a stretch for Liverpool. Cazorla has a £26 million buyout clause on his contract. However, if Dalglish can get him for £18 million, Cazorla could be manning the wing at Anfield next season.
