Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder said on his WQAM Miami radio show Sunday that he "hypothetically" sold his jerseys when he played at the University of Florida.
"I'll say, hypothetically, I don't have any more of my Florida jerseys," Crowder said. "There were some Jacksonville businessmen that really, hypothetically, liked my play."
Crowder's misuse of the word "hypothetically" came while he was voicing support for Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who left the Buckeyes amid accusations that players traded jerseys and other memorabilia for tattoos and cash.
The University of Florida and Crowder's agent, Joel Segal, did not return calls from The Associated Press seeking comment.
