For most Red Sox fans, Jerry Remy‘s sign-on of “Buenas noches, amigos” may exhaust our Spanish speaking skills.

But for the language-inclined and the ever-growing population of Spanish fans in Red Sox Nation, the team recently announced the launch of a Spanish-language webpage, redsox.com/beisbol.

The site will include Spanish translated features from MLB.com, video interviews with Red Sox players, segments from the official Spanish-language Red Sox television show, El Reporte De Los Red Sox and the latest news from around MLB.

In addition to the webpage, the Sox also launched a Spanish-language Twitter account and Facebook page.

“We are constantly amazed and humbled by the reach of our fan base,” senior vice president of public affairs/marketing Susan Goodenow said. “We are fortunate to have so many fans, both locally and around the world, who follow us through Spanish-language media, including our valuable long-time partners Spanish Baseball Productions and Telemundo. Taking this outreach online was the next logical step, and we are excited to engage fans through this new channel of communication.”

The Red Sox have four Spanish-speaking members on the everyday roster and an additional seven on the 40-man roster. Videos of David Ortiz and Adrian Gonzalez are up on the webpage to welcome fans to the site.

The Red Sox join 17 other teams that have Spanish-language sites, while only seven other clubs feature Spanish Twitter and Facebook pages.
