Red Sox Hope Tommy Hottovy Can Pick Up Where Rich Hill Left Off Before Unfortunate Injury

The Red Sox were dealt a pretty crushing blow when Rich Hill left a game this week after hearing a pop in his elbow. Hill is fully expecting to have his season ended by Tommy John surgery now.

It's an unfortunate break for not only the Red Sox, but for Hill as well, who just started to find his groove as the main left-hander out of the Red Sox bullpen. But with his absence, a spot has opened up, and for now, that spot is being filled by Tommy Hattovy. The lefty was called up on Friday and made his big league debut.

Tom Caron and Peter Gammons talked about the left-handed situation that has developed in the Red Sox bullpen on Red Sox First Pitch.
