Red Sox prospects Will Middlebrooks and Chih-Hsien Chiang are now doing something that current Sox stars such as Josh Beckett, Clay Buchholz, Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford have all done. They will play in the 2011 XM All-Star Futures Game.

Middlebrooks, a Portland Sea Dogs (Double-A) third baseman, will play for the U.S. squad and Chiang, an outfielder for the Sea Dogs, will play for the World squad. The game will be played at Chase Field in Phoenix, the spot for the 2011 MLB All-Star Game as well, on Sunday, July 10.

Middlebrooks, a 6-foot-4 right-handed hitter, is hitting .294 in 201 at-bats this season for Portland. He has eight home runs and 32 RBIs to go along with a .812 OPS.

Chiang is a .307 hitter in 192 at-bats for the Sea Dogs this season. Despite his fairly slight build (6-foot-2, 170 pounds), he has posted great power numbers in 2011, with 11 homers, 21 doubles and a fantastic .620 slugging percentage. He also has 41 RBIs and a .363 on-base percentage for Portland.

Former Red Sox prospect Reymond Fuentes will also play in the game for the World team.

Here are the complete rosters for both the U.S. and World teams.
