An Ipswich striker could be heading to Anfield.

According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool is ready to match Sunderland’s bid for 18-year-old England international Connor Wickham.

Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has made Wickham his top summer transfer target and recently offered an £8 million bid, which LFC has reportedly matched.

Liverpool previously bid £6 million for Wickham, and also offered Ipswich their young star Jonjo Shelvey on loan for next season.
