HARRISON, N.J. — Thierry Henry scored his seventh goal of the season to help the New York Red Bulls beat the New England Revolution, 2-1, Friday night, snapping a six-game winless streak for New York.

Henry took defender Stephen Keel’s long cross in the 50th minute and dribbled into the box around Revs defender Ryan Cochrane, firing a low shot into the wide right side. The goal put the Red Bulls ahead, 2-0.

New York (5-2-7) benefited from an own goal earlier in the 37th minute when Cochrane tried to defend Henry’s crossing pass to Austin Da Luz but tipped it into the middle of the goal past keeper Matt Reis.

Zak Boggs scored in the 55th minute for the Revolution (3-7-4), who have lost four straight.

The Red Bulls, 0-1-5 in their previous six, moved into first place in the Eastern Conference, one point ahead of the Philadelphia Union.
