They say speed kills, and Bruins forward Rich Peverley has plenty of speed. He showed that off early in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final and gave the B's an early lead.
Peverley scored his third goal of the playoffs, and first of the Final, at the 11:59 mark of the opening stanza when he burst through the neutral zone before beating Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo five-hole for the game's first tally.
Zdeno Chara and David Krejci got assists on the goal.
The Bruins took the 1-0 lead to the first intermission.
