Despite consistent TD Garden sellouts this season and 2011-12 season tickets already sold out, the Boston Bruins home arena will be empty Wednesday night.

Over 18,000 fans watched the Mavericks win their first NBA Championship from American Airlines Center as Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd took down the Heat in South Beach.

However, the Garden HD-X screens won't be firing up tonight for a Game 7 viewing party, according to boston.com.

Mayor Thomas Menino and TD Garden officials says the safety of the fans is what's important.
