Tim Thomas will forever be remembered for his incredible playoff performance in 2011, which helped the Bruins bring a Stanley Cup back to Boston.
With three Game 7 wins, including two shutouts, a Conn Smythe Trophy and highlight-reel saves that still have shooters baffled, no one outperformed Thomas during the postseason.
However, it wasn't enough for the 37-year-old goaltender to top ESPN.com's Cross-Sport Power Rankings.
In consecutive weeks, Thomas finished second on the list. Last week's ranking had Dirk Nowitzki at the top of the list for his performance in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. This week, it was Rory McIlroy atop the list for winning the U.S. Open. Bruins winger Brad Marchand earned the third spot on this week's list.
Thomas made the list three other times throughout the playoffs. In those rankings, he landed as high as third (twice) and fell to as low as ninth.
