Tim Thomas, Roberto Luongo Come Up Big in Hard-Hitting Game 1 That Should Set Tone for Exciting Series If Game 1 was any sort of indication, we may be in for a special Stanley Cup Final this year.

The Bruins and Canucks battled it out, hitting hard and often from the opening faceoff on Wednesday night. The game was a chippy one all night long, but the physical play eventually gave way to some incredible goaltending from both goalies.

On one end, there was Tim Thomas. Much like he's been throughout the playoffs, the veteran was sensational making save after save, many of which could go straight to the highlight reel. And while Thomas was awesome, it was Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo who was able to keep a clean scoresheet for the entirety of Game 1. He was good when he needed to be, and he and the Canucks were rewarded when Raffi Torres lit the lamp with just seconds to play in the third for the game's lone goal.

If the rest of the games are anything like Game 1, hockey fans should be in for a hard-fought, memorable Stanley Cup Final.
