Tim Thomas, Tom Brady, Ray Allen, Boston Bruins Nominated For ESPN’s ESPY Awards

Tim Thomas' award collecting circuit may very well continue into July.

The Bruins goalie who, in the last 10 days has captured the Stanley Cup, the Conn Smythe Trophy and the Vezina Trophy, was one of three Boston athletes nominated for an award in ESPN's annual show, the ESPY's.

Thomas is up for Best NHL Player and Best Championship Performance after leading the Bruins — who are nominated for Best Team — to the Stanley Cup.

The B's will have to beat out a tough field, though, for the honor of Best Team. The Dallas Mavericks, Green Bay Packers, Auburn football, Texas A&M women's basketball, and the San Fransisco Giants were also nominated in the category.

Tom Brady, up for best NFL Player, is pitted against Arian Foster, Clay Matthews Jr., Troy Polamalu and Aaron Rodgers for the award.

Ray Allen is nominated for Best Record-Breaking Performance after capturing the record for career 3-pointers made this past season. He's up against the UConn women's basketball team, Rory McIlroy and Derrick Rose.

The annual award show, hosted by Seth Meyers, is Wednesday, July 13 on ESPN. Fans can take part in the voting which will close July 9.
