Tim Thomas Wins Vezina Trophy for Second Time in Career It didn't come as a surprise to anyone who saw him play at all this season, but Tim Thomas took home the Vezina Trophy for the NHL's best goalie on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

The veteran netminder, who led the Bruins to their first Stanley Cup win in 39 years, was named the league's most outstanding goalie for the second time in his career, this time beating out Vancouver's Roberto Luongo and Atlanta's Pekka Rinne.

The 37-year-old was 35-11-9 this season, leading the NHL in goals against average (2.00) and breaking Dominik Hasek's record for single-season save percentage.

Thomas, the 2009 winner of the Vezina, was also named the Conn Smythe trophy winner after shutting out the Canucks in a Game 7 win to wrap up the Stanley Cup Final.
