Bobby Orr Says Tim Thomas Was ‘Out of This World’ During Stanley Cup Run, Not Sure He’s Ever Seen a Performance Like It

Bobby Orr is no stranger to great performances, given that he's a two-time Stanley Cup champion and often regarded as the greatest hockey player of all time. But even he was amazed at the season that Tim Thomas had, especially throughout the playoffs.

Orr said he's not sure he's ever seen a performance like Thomas', although he thinks the Bruins put forth a total team effort en route to their first Stanley Cup victory since Orr was on the ice in 1972.

He also said that as difficult as it is to keep teams together and repeat as champions in today's game, the Bruins will figure something out when it comes to replacing their departed players, which is a testament to the team's management.

He thinks the team already made a step in the right direction by acquiring defenseman Joe Corvo.

To hear what else Orr had to say about the Bruins' Stanley Cup run and what he expects to see next season, check out the video above from NESN Daily.
