Kenny Dalglish: Despite 4-3 Win, 'There's Lots of Work Still to Do' Charlie Adam and Conor Coady made their Liverpool debuts in the second half of LFC’s preseason 4-3 victory over Guangdong Sunray Cave in China.

Kenny Dalglish was quick to praise them both and the 18-year-old Coady even netted the team’s third tally.

“It was good to see Conor Coady score his first goal and for Charlie to make his debut,” he told LFC.tv. “To score four goals is obviously a bonus but it’s only our first game and there’s lots of work still to do.”

Christian Poulsen, David Ngog and Andy Carroll were the other Reds goalscorers.

“It was a really good work out for us in very difficult conditions,” he said. “We were disappointed to concede the goals at the end of both halves, but the main thing is that the lads got a run out and it’s good that they all played 45 minutes without picking up any injuries.”
