While Jon Lester's return to the Red Sox rotation is a welcomed sight, the team is still trying to get Clay Buchholz back and healthy.

Buchholz threw a bullpen session at Fenway on Monday, which included throwing off a mound. While the reports are that the session went well for the right-hander, NESN's Dennis Eckersley is a bit concerned.

Doctors said that Buchholz will continue to feel his injury, but that he isn't doing any more damage by pushing through it. Eckersley's concerned that this could limit the young right-hander's ability upon his return because he normally uses his full body in his delivery.

If Buchholz is unable to return to his usual self, Eck said that the Red Sox will need to consider starting pitching prior to Sunday's trade deadline. He thinks the Red Sox can push through given their excellent offense, but a team's top three pitchers are very important during the postseason.

Tom Caron and Eck also discussed what the Sox might do in the wake of J.D. Drew's injury, which leaves the team with 13 pitchers and only three backup position players.
