NFL rookies often struggle with adjusting to life in the professional game during their first seasons out of college. The second year, however, is usually a different story.

The Boston Globe's Shalise Manza Young was a guest on NESN Daily on Wednesday night, and she spoke about what to expect from the Patriots' second-year players in the upcoming season. She said that Bill Belichick has stressed in the past that the second season is usually instrumental in the development of a young player after they get a season, and just as importantly an offseason, under their belts.
