After coming close to exiting Anfield early in the transfer season, Liverpool striker David Ngog could be on the cusp of leaving once again.

According to The Bolton News, Ngog has become Bolton manager Owen Coyle‘s top target after negotiations in the transfer of Barcelona youngster Jeffren stalled.

Ngog played in 25 EPL games for the Reds last season, starting nine while scoring twice. The 22-year-old would most likely start for Bolton, which is in need of a striker after Chelsea youngster Daniel Sturridge returned to Stamford Bridge after a spell on loan.

Ngog figured to be the odd man out in a striking trio featuring Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez and Dirk Kuyt.
