There have been some worries recently that Liverpool star Luis Suarez might not be in top shape for the 2011-12 season because he will be playing in the Copa America this summer. But the 24-year-old assured Reds fans Saturday that he will ready to go in mid-August despite the fact that he will miss most of the pre-season workouts due to the Copa America.

"I don't think I'll have any problems at all," Suarez said. "I think when you start to get to 28 or 29 as a player, tiredness creeps in, but at my age all you want to do is play football all the time. There will be no problems me coming back in good condition."

Suarez will be playing for his home country of Uruguay in Argentina until July 24. Suarez feels good about his team's chances.

"It's an important trophy for us because it's 16 years since Uruguay actually won the Copa America. We know it's a tough tournament to win because every one of the South American countries wants to go out there and win it as well. It's a unique competition to experience because of that."

Suarez scored four goals and added three assists for LFC in the 2010-11 Premier League season.
